Storage and packaging

Silicone has a strong hygroscopic ability, so it should be stored in a dry place, and there should be shelves between the packaging and the ground. Packaging materials are steel drums, paper drums, cartons, plastic bottles, polyethylene plastic composite bags, flexible container bags, etc. Avoid rain, moisture and sun exposure during transportation.

use.

Silica gel can be used as a desiccant and can be reused. Silica gel is a porous substance with different particle sizes formed by proper dehydration of silica gel mSiO2·nH2O. It has an open porous structure, is larger than the surface (surface area per unit mass), can adsorb many substances, and is a good desiccant, adsorbent and catalyst carrier. The adsorption of silica gel is mainly physical adsorption, which can be regenerated and used repeatedly. Adding acid to the alkali metal silicate (such as sodium silicate) solution to acidify it, and then adding a certain amount of electrolyte to stir, that is, to generate silicic acid gel; Or adding acid or ammonium salt to a concentrated sodium silicate solution can also produce silicic acid gel. Silica gel is left for a few hours to age, then washed with hot water to remove soluble salts, dried at 60 ~ 70 ° C and activated at about 300 ° C to obtain silica gel. Discolored silica gel can be obtained by soaking silica gel in cobalt chloride solution and then drying and activating it. When it is used as a desiccant, it is blue before water absorption and red after water absorption, and the degree of water absorption can be seen from the change in color, and whether it needs to be regenerated. Silica gel is also widely used in steam recovery, oil refining and catalyst preparation. Silicone can also be used to make a mobile phone case, with extremely high fall resistance.
