The Influence Of Silicone Rubber Roller Pressure On Printing

🕙 2023-11-01 👆

The printing pressure is a comprehensive reflection of the technical indicators of the roller in the printing process, the printing pressure of the roller is affected by the performance of the roller hardness, elasticity and surface roughness, and the pressure standard is also established for the roller in different positions on the printing press. The pressure regulation of the roller directly affects the quality of the printed product in printing, and also directly affects other aspects, such as: the life of the roller, the depreciation of the machine and the power consumption.

When the indentation width is 4mm, the roller pressure reaches 18N, and when the width is 6mm, the pressure can reach 63.5N, and when the width is 8mm, the pressure reaches 149N. From this, we can draw the following conclusions:

1) Increase the indentation width by 50% and increase the roller pressure by 250%;

2) Increase the indentation width by 100% and increase the roller pressure by 725%.

Therefore, under the premise of not affecting the printing quality, the roller pressure should be as small as possible. Because in actual operation, the indentation width is the performance of the printing pressure, the indentation width requirements provided by the manufacturer are the printing pressure standards of the original rubber rollers that have been tested, and it is best not to change at will.

For the control of printing costs, the impact of printing pressure is also great. I have done the following tests:

Offset press: Heidelberg CD 102 five-color press

Ink: Hanghua standard four-color offset printing ink

BottcherFount 3010

Printing pressure test roller: 60mm diameter of the plate roller

Printing speed: 10000 copies/hour;

Working hours: 24 hours/day

Original roller hardness: SH25

Original water roller hardness: SH25

After 2 months, the printing pressure is adjusted to 50% of the first month, and the result shows that the printing pressure has a considerable impact on the printing cost during the printing process.
