Low temperature resistance: the low temperature critical point of ordinary rubber is -20 degrees to -30 degrees, but the silicone rubber still has good elasticity when it is -60 degrees to -70 degrees, some special formula
Silicone rubber can also withstand low temperature, such as low temperature sealing ring.
Electrical conductivity: When adding conductive filler (such as carbon black), silicone rubber has good electrical conductivity, such as keyboard conductive contact points, electric heating components, antistatic components, high voltage cable, medical therapy conductive film, etc.
Weather resistance: ordinary rubber rapidly degrades under the action of ozone produced by corona discharge, while silicone rubber is not affected by ozone, and for a long time in ultraviolet light and other climatic conditions, its physical properties only have a small change, such as outdoor use of sealing materials.
Thermal conductivity: When adding some thermal conductivity packing, silicone rubber has good thermal conductivity, such as heat sink, thermal sealing pad, photocopier, fax machine thermal conductivity roller and so on.
2.silicone products according to the different molding process can be divided into the following series:
1. Molded silica gel products: usually through high temperature mold in the addition of vulcanizing agent of solid silica gel raw materials through the vulcanization machine pressure, high temperature sulfur into solid molding, molded silica gel hardness is usually in 30°C-70°C. The color of raw materials and color paste is adjusted according to the Pantone color card number. The shape of the mold determines the shape of molded silica gel products. Molded silica gel products are widely used in the silicone industry at present. It is mainly used for only making silicone industrial accessories, buttons, silicone gifts, silicone bracelet, silicone watch, key bag, mobile phone cover, silicone kitchenware, silicone mat, ice grid, cake mold and so on.
2. extrusion silicone products: usually by extrusion machine extrusion silicone molding, generally extrusion silicone shape is long, tubular can be cut at will, but the shape of extrusion silicone has limitations, widely used in food machinery.
3. Liquid silicone products: They are made by silicone injection molding and injection molding. The products are soft and the hardness can reach 10°C-40°C.
4. Special silica gel products: according to the chemical characteristics of silica gel or the addition of some auxiliary raw materials, special silica gel products can also have high temperature resistance (up to 330 degrees), food grade (fully in line with the United States FDA,LFGB standard), medical grade, flame retardant grade, through the addition of auxiliary raw materials can also have, luminous, negative ions, discoloration, and other characteristics.
